A way of working:
Our absolute priority is the safety of our consumers. Our personnel are both deeply committed and highly skilled thanks to our ongoing technical investments (detection equipment, automation, computerization).
Jean Routhiau has developed food and hygiene security measures (based on the HACCP method: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) on every level of production to avoid risk and guarantee product safety. A specialised multidisciplinary team is constantly updating and optimising these measures.
Recognition: Certication IFS
Jean Routhiau obtained the IFS higher certificate in 2006, and since, has had more and more encouraging results each year.

Guaranteed quality and product uniformity
Each item sold has its own batch number. For each batch number, we can trace the origin of the raw materials used, production conditions (quality controls) and the final destination.
Respect of our consumers and clients is our ongoing motivation. For us, the 'quality' aspect must be found in our factories, in production, and also in our relationships with our clients and suppliers.
The Jean ROUTHIAU company has been developing an ambitous project since 2008 designed to result in a nutritional charter which corresponds to our clients' nutritional requirements and also fits into the programme framework of PNNS II (progamme national nutrition santé ).
Jean ROUTHIAU certified ISO 14001
The Jean ROUTHIAU company has just been awarded the ISO 14001 certification and thus becomes part of the big family of ecologically friendly companies.
The ISO 14001 standard is the most frequently used within the range of ISO 14000 concerning environmental management.
This international standard, set up by the International Standards Organisation to cover environmental management systems, validates a process that controls and improves the environmental performance of our company.
We would like to further advance within this process by:
- managing our waste, to obtain a 70% recycling potential
- managing our waste water
- monitoring our energy consumption, with regular energy reports
- organising an awareness campaign for our personnel
To improve our social and environmental performance, we have undertaken several voluntary commitments, in addition to our legal obligations.
Here are a few of the steps we have taken:

- Collection, recycling and treatment of waste products
- Systems for energy management
- Commitment in the prevention of industrial risks
- Awareness campaigns and training for our employees in the importance of individual responsibility for the protection of the environment.
Commitment to Security and Accident Prevention
In place for the last three years, the Security + programme at Jean ROUTHIAU aims to reduce the number of work accidents, retain our improvement performance in terms of security, and motivate, involve and inform our personnel.
